I was invited to a party where we played one of the murder mystery games, and it turned out to be such a great experience! I had never played one before and felt a little shy at first, especially since I didn’t know everyone there. But stepping into a role actually made it much easier to connect with people, it adds a whole new dimension to meeting new friends.
We ended up playing for hours and had so much fun. I also loved the emails leading up to the party, which introduced us to our characters (and hinted at others). They made the anticipation even more exciting and gave the start of the evening an extra spark as we tried to guess who was playing whom.
Overall, it was an unforgettable and really fun way to break the ice and get to know new people!

My birthday parties are always a hit when I do one of these murder mystery games! We can play for hours and everyone gets really into character, which is so much fun! And the suspense beforehand, when you're waiting for another email with information may be my favourite part. They are not easy to solve, especially when the murderer is good at keeping a low profile and deflecting suspicion. We've never all agreed on who's the murderer before but there's always some of us who do get it right.
If you're looking for a party idea that doesn't take much effort on the host's part but that you and your guests will love and talk about for months after, this is amazing!
